Graham's Motorcycles? slow service??

Postby jwisc » Fri May 06, 2011 9:45 pm

Have any of you had issues with them filling orders??

I'm on my third week of trying and waiting on my order to be filled. I've email 3 times, and made 5 calls (spoken to parts guy twice, when he is actually there) and still almost a week after finally getting through on the phone.. again ( actually getting the parts guy to see my request)to them my order hasn't been filled/billed/shipped... no response. Frustrating! I had the parts numbers and everything, easy order!

When I speak to whoever answers the phone and tell them my predicament, they act like I have three heads.... Have others had the same experience??

Don't forget it's been the Long Easter break here in the UK and most of Europe (almost 2 weeks of public Holidays). The parts guy (Ian) also serves people in the shop and has to deal with a backlog of work as well as take a holiday himself sometime. I've had nothing but excellent service off Grahams and I'm buying parts quite frequently. Just have patience I'm sure things will get back to normal soon.

hey guys....ive ordered parts twice from grahams......im in florida, usa and both times were lengthy deliverey times....over 30 days once and 7 weeks on other...but the few calls to them they were polite and said they get orders from all over the world he was VERY back logged and apologized.....they did have everything i wanted/needed....my only true complaint was the shipping charge but that is not in their control so... just pissing and moaning on my part

I have dealt with Ian a few times and yes service (at least to the US) is slow but the parts do arrive and often there is no other real source. I have always found them (Grahams and Ian in particular) to be truly helpful and pleasant to deal with, you just need a little patience esp if you hit them on a holiday. Nobody said owning an MZ was going to be easy :-)

plan ahead if you can
remember the English take a lot of time off in late august to get rested up for there nasty winters
so placing orders on aug 20th is not a good idea
dave

also packages that go on planes get inspected better than they did even 6 years ago
which slows every thing down

I was able to get a hold of them again and things are proceeding. Just getting a little anxious with all the downtime

A problem for UK (and probably other European) companies sending orders to the US is how slow US Customs have become clearing parcels. Some UK companies will no longer supply to the US, see statement on Stig's website http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/ There's no point in complaining to Graham's about slow delivery, the parcel probably arrived in the US in 2 or 3 days but has been sitting in a US Customs warehouse for weeks.

Yeah, it was more of a "No Response" situation, as I haven't even paid for the order yet, and that needs to happen before anything gets shipped.

On a good note I did speak with Ian again today and and he should have my order for billing shortly. Luckily one of the members was able to point me towards a temp replacement brake lever from a 2005 Honda TRX 450R that fit perfect.

So atleast I'm back up and running for now, so the immediate crisis is abated! :-D
