Helmets again...

I am planning to buy another helmet to replace my Nolan N100. I gather that the replacement is the N103. Since I wear glasses, I have enjoyed the flip up feature, but wanted to see what other folks like in a helmet. Pros and cons? Anyone else with glasses use a non-flip up without having to take them on and off? I kind of hoped to get an N90 but am concerned that the plastic latch might give me trouble down the line. Thanks!

Of the few helmets I've owned/used...never found a full-face that would go over the glasses, always take them off.
Currently using a Scorpion EXO 900 flip-up. Has built in sun-glasses and decent venting.
I do like the flip front because it will go on with the glasses and for the quick break when you don't need to take the helmet off.
It has a plastic latch pull handle that I'm careful with (that's what will break off, for sure).

I had an EXO-700 full-face before this one and I actually prefer that model.
Yes, it was a hassle to take off the glasses and carry around a pair of sunshade clip-ons...but it has much better venting (way cooler in the summer and didn't fog up in winter) and is quieter than the 900 model.

When I replace the 900, I'll probably go back to the 700 model (if no one else has a hi-vis yellow modular lid that's affordable )

I have three EXO 700 and love them.I use to have a flip up a few years ago but they have a lot more weight.

I put on the helmet and slip on the glasses and good to go.I feel the flip=up doesn't offer the protection of a full face helmet. Just My Opinion

Thanks guys. Sounds like two votes for the Scorp 700. I'll check it out. I had a Simpson in the old days and got along without the flip up OK then. Ice, howz the 1000sf doing for you?

The SF is great !
my only issue and it's not really an issue is the gas consumption.
It goes through a tank of gas faster than any bike I have.
It runs great so I don't think there's a problem.I removed the cover that goes over the air cleaner and it gets a lot more air.I wondered if the computer is compensating for that and adding more fuel.

I could put the cover back on and see but the intake noise is a rush.I have to pull a plug out and check the color one of these days.
I posted a comparison a short while back against other bikes and it showed the MZ 1000 getting low 30's

My inline 4 Honda 919 (hornet) can go a little over 200 miles on a tank and It's air cover is also off.
It's a fun bike but doesn't compare to a twin in my opinion.

If that Austin bike I posted were a couple of thousand less I bet you would have been interested.

i'll add my vote for the skorp exo 700...i'm on my second and like them very much....only other helmet owned was a bell...also nice, my wife currenly wears a bell but, i think i'll stick to the exo700s for now and definetly agree on great ventilation...i live in a hot area mostly year around and commute often on 2 wheels

my head is wide and all helmets clamp me like a vice
i finally found a helmet labeled GMAX
in 4xl 67-68 CM
it fits with out cutting padding out of the sides
wish i could find a full face
but i have never found any i could even get on

went to iron pony in Columbus Ohio
over 300 helmets in stock and nothing would fit

its bad when only a cheap $40usd helmet fits
