I think this site is in need of some basic information on models, particularly on the Pre Yamaha models. Example: I have a Silver star classic and in trying to look up specs on the internet for wheel and tire sizes, I came up with three different figures for rim sizes let alone tire sizes. It'd be nice to have reliable info on this web site and an old road test or two wouldn't hurt. Maybe a FAQ for the different models so newbies wouldn't have to ask the same old questions.

You need to contact the MZ riders club (google), join and buy yourself a manual.

I always think of the forum a bit like popping over a mates because your engine is making funning noise. You don't expect him to service your bike for you, just to offer advice and helping hand.

I totally agree with Old Dog
This site is basically for those in the USA, who have trouble obtaining parts/information,
helping each other to source parts in the US.

As you appear to be in the UK, the MZ Riders Club is the place to go,

This is more biased towards the two-strokes and the Rotax engined bikes.

in working on my saxon tour i found tire and rim sizing to be
a bit of fun
mine lists it as having a 16 inch rim on the rear fitting a 110/80x16 tire
which in the usa was impossible to find until about 2010
the front was 300x18 also hard to find
it had alloy rims but they were shaped to take tube type tires
so that was all good fun and a big pain in the A
because the the guy at the shop missed the box with the tubes
and called me saying his tubeless valve stems were to big for my wheels

i had sent the rims to the shop with every thing removed ready for new fitting
oh do i have fun with the shops around my home town
