MZ125SM Repair

Postby bajasr100 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:09 pm

So, I m finally about to try and get my 125SM back on the road. I got this bike a while ago as a non-runner and as part of a multi-bike trade. I do not know much of the history, only that it was a former MSF bike. That being said, looks like I need to get in and replace the "Freewheel Gear" as the previous owner said it sheared, was taken off and never replaced. Is there anything else that I should be looking at once the side cover is off?? Any other issues to fix before they become a problem?

Thanks

Yes I would check the starter clutch generally speaking they're a pain and are a common fault mine has gone 3 times in 2 years if your replacing the free wheel I'd just do the starter clutch at the same time.

I would check the cam drive chain. Make sure it isn't hitting any aluminium.---Steve
