TS250

Postby Gwiz » Fri May 11, 2012 12:22 pm

Hi,
I'm looking for an older MZ in good working order in the 250cc bracket. I don't really mind if it's four or five geared, but it has to be in running order. I don't mind if it has an MOT or not. Idealy located around the M25 area so I can come and fetch it with my trailer. I have a TS150, and a fine piece of kit it is too, but Something a little larger in cc would be great. Give a reply if you think you might have what I need.

Cheers!

Graham.

Was high bidder when it was on last week but not made the reserve. ! Looked on completed listings for the last month and there were 5 or 6 good examples from as low as £169 to £350 (those being 125,s) all running with good miles ...Thinking its probably better to hang out and find something closer to home or at least running . At a quid short of 300 quid for a non runner and 150cc ,no good to learner and someone with full licence more likely to grab the Ts 250 I think its a little pricey for me given the 300 mile round trip ontop of that ....Thanks for the heads up though.. ;-)

As a dedicated "Mr unobservant" I didn't notice that you were "Up North-ish" !
It'd make for a damn long journey down to here to buy a 150 as well. You'd want to be a brave man to ride it back! My back screams in agony just thinking about it
The seller is someone I think I might phone before much longer if no one gets in touch from this forum.

Would have to say, go for the TS250/1 rather than the TS250. The extra gear was desparately needed and I think the 250/1 engine is the best 250 MZ made (cue MZ argument no 143!)
ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!
