I thought you might like to see my 301 project.
I've never had an MZ before but wanted a 2 stroke I could use in the winter around the back lanes. Old Jap trail bikes are becoming expensive and I like odd bikes (I've also got a Guzzi) so bought a 301 and have now striped it down. First job - replace the steering head bearings followed by a wire brush and some black paint on the frame...
So the plan is to convert it into a trail bike type of thing...

Looks good, It will be a lot lighter than my HD MT350
I wish I could find a 301 at a reasonable price, one on ebay went for £1325 the other day, nice but way to much for me

if you got to ask price here in the usa
that MT350 would be way over budget
and an mt500 is Unobtainium
