Hi folks on MZ 660s.
I am looking for a new can for my 2002 Mastiff (sonic, speedy and aesthetic grounds) . Many of you seem to have, and rate, M4 cans. Having a few problems sourcing those here in Englandland. Have found that the Carbon Can Company do a Mastiff specific stainless,carbon and titanium range, and that G-force say they manufacture a can, although I don't see any stockists. Any recommendations, or is it just a length of plumbing pipe with some advertising? Does anything out there make much of a difference?

all c/w mid pipes as well with brackets to fit your Mastiff. (M4 systems)
Phlat uses a YZF450 Stock can with excellent results.
as I remember he took my old exhaust and used some of the collecter to make his work... he will see this and clarify If I'm incorrect.
I have a Alloy system cause I heard the Carbon is brittle and the titanium is just too bloody exspensive.......... after market cans will net you 6-8 HP with proper jetting.......got that off some internet tests

they do make a diff between brands. the sound is different. my YZF450 can and brians M4 sound totally diff. his has more of a lower rumble, mine has a sharper tone more like a "crack"..

Thanks for the info guys. That alloy M4 can works out to only be £20.50 at the current exchange rate!
Ah, jetting. Thats another can of nemotodes .I was hoping to put that off until I can afford the Tunebike in/ex kit and some dyno time. Gentlemen -your advice please.

Our Fearless leader of this site is a Motorcycle tech, he has a exhaust system with no re jetting, same with Phlat. Both have mentioned that rejetting is ideal but have also said that both their bikes run great with no overheating or abnormalities with performance. I am rejetted.... I am not a tech but when the exhaust flow is increased then the machine requires a richer mixture. This is basically the case with most internal combustion engines as they are big air pumps. I would look for their advise as I am a home garage type guy and have just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

Any views on putting holes in the air box as Gary's supermoto site used to recommend(where's that gone?)
Anyone contemplating buying a BSM Vampire or Future may be interested that they put a hole in the midrange and limit the max revs unless you DO re-jet, then they work great, according to German web wisdom.

I think I might try a Carbon Can Co stainless, cos even ordering at the current exchange rate, I'll get clobbered for import tax at this end, if I went for the M4.

amen brother!! I hate that shit! my local pub HAD Cafferys until about a month ago. we are VERY lucky here in the Northwest, Brewerys are plentiful, so we have great choices.

Huh, another lazy cultural stereotype bites the dust. You mean you have beer, with alchohol in it, rather than the lager-flavoured drink that is Bud?
Just to disillusion you back, hardly anyone under 40 drinks warm beer in Britain. Multi-national chemically cold fizz is the choice of the drinking classes. Bollocks to 'em, I drink warm, brown, grandad bitter and ride an MZ, which they don't think is cool either.

Just to go back to exhausts for a second, I'm dithering, waiting for an M4 importer to give me a price, and now found G Force do a MZ fitting stainless/alloy/Titanium can. Anyone know anything about them, apart from "loud"?

he he he he ......... its nice to be different........ M4 as a reminder make exhaust for the Mastif which is a lower machine than the Standard Baggy, my pipe is low so I had to fuss with it to come up to my blinker.
Haven't heard about the G force, I think its really hard to go wrong with any of them.... one would think they all have a very similar interior design.
If you would like I can send you picts of what I did ???
