Being in NI obviously mail order is my only option so where do y'all either suggest I try first or alternatively suggest that I stay well clear of.

http://www.ost2rad.com are also worth a look, although in Germany they have a flat rate P&P of €11 ( I think) so can work out OK if you are buying a few bits. Good service and take Paypal
