New member intro, new MuZ owner!

Just a friendly intro, as I'm sure I'll be visiting often for advice.

I just picked up my first bike, a 1995 MuZ Skorpion Sport w/ 9800 miles. I was looking for an entry level bike and happened to spot this gem locally. I didn't know anything about them, but after a little research I figured it would be a decent beginner ride. It wasn't running when I picked her up, but a carb cleaning, spark plug and new battery and she purs like a kitten. Currently has a Mikuni TM42 single carb and Dale Walker HoleShot pipe. Sounds great!

I've been riding quads and dirtbikes for my whole life so I believe the transition should be natural.

Welcome to the club! As Dave said be careful as cagers will claim they dont see ya....maybe aiming for bikes....
yours is a Tour version going by the bodywork and seat...mechanically identical to the other Skorp models....
TM42 ...NICE, many on here have wished and experimented to improve on the stock set up...Holeshot pipe does sound good..have one on my Sport.will be going to
new headers when I get up off my duff and install....
This site is a wealth of knowledge......use it!

Sorry I didn't respond, the site was down for a few days and then I was out camping.

Quick question, my rear brake caliper is leaking between the halves. I know I can't just simply walk into a dealer and order the parts here in the U.S. so does anyone have a suggestion on where to find a rebuild kit/used replacement or new replacement (or if some other caliper from a different bike is a direct fit)?

Essentially-"any Brembo P32F will fit: Guzzi, Ducati, Aprilia; one of the most used calipers there is.
the problem is that the Grimeca garbage has threaded holes while NOTHING else does. Simply tap the holes of a Brembo for Helicoil inserts and bolt it on. "

I'd get a Brembo for the front, while you're at it.
