The bike’s a 1994 301 Saxon Tour. It was fed on an exclusive diet of semi-synthetic oil and was very reliable, returning an average of about 60 mpg. The chain’s been greased from new, as well as being in its natural enclosure. It has a luggage rack and about 30,000 miles on the clock.
The kickstarter spring failed a number of years ago, a simple repair but the bike was laid up and has languished in the garage untouched. I used my Honda 650 BROS instead.
In addition to the bike there are various new unused spares:
• Steering head bearings
• Brake pads (2 sets)
• Brake shoes
• Air filter
• Kickstart return spring
• Kickstart case gasket
• Spark plugs (2)
• Set of cables
Additionally there are
• MZ Workshop Manual
• Haynes MZ manual
• Fairing screen (almost unused)
• Sidestand - used
In terms of price, £125 seems fair to me.
The bike is on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in the UK. just off the A11.
A little bit of history:
Bike was bought from Kickstart in Catford and registered in 1994. I moved to Ireland where it was re-registered. It’s still wearing Irish plates, but re-registration is straightforward if needed.
