I have just spotted this for sale. It looks like a good price to me, so surely somebody on here will give it a good home!

The GS, like MZ's are hugely under appreciated by the motorcycling public, largely due to ignorant journalists. Mine will cruise all day at 80mph, returns between 70 and 80 miles per UK Gallon and has more than enough real life performance to see off most cars less than a Porsche / Ferrari etc. Oh and because there were so many made, and nobody really likes them, spares are dirt cheap too. I scored a low mileage engine for £30 and a pair of forks for £65 recently.

What's your take on the GS?

Oooo 30 for an engine - seriously around here it would have cost you 10 X as much.
There are a lot of people looking for gs engines. BTW you on gstwin.com ? The place for a GS.

Forks - 89-96 katana 600 forks are what I have on mine. Its an easy enough swap, but some of the nicer things like gauges etc etc are a little more work.
True about the stupid journalists. Worst of all, the american ones are all in LA, where you the average speed is like 2 mph.
I am Buddha on GStwin.
Cool.
