hello
more bad news the guy on the phone 2 weeks ago said in stock
at mzna
so i called a MZ dealer and ordered part for drop ship
week later no part ...call dealer he will look in to why no part
friday about 1pm 14 days from order date i get a phone call
it will be 2 more weeks before it is here

so thats it people !!!!
i guess this has been told so many times by so many its old
news
any one want to guess what brand bike i am not buying next time i
buy a new bike
i do like the rt125
but not the bad parts supply
information on this part is the hands down leader for 125 problems
i get emails asking about

ps when i flame some one its because they need it real bad

the problem can be solved right here
i made 2 parts to go in the piece that died
and have seen the bike crank now i just need to tidy
up the details
i grew up in a family that ran a machine shop
after 59 years around a bunch of guys that can fix any thing
it took about 45 min. to work out a fix and i should have a running
bike by sat afternoon or sunday
after i make 2 little parts i made out of some tool steel
instead of Aluminium
:D
update parts are in for the saxon tour so it goes on the top of the fix list
will work on 125 later saxon parts came late fri nite

You must mark the position of the nut prior to removing it on the slip clutch. Remove the nut and make sure the faces of the slip clutch are clean and smooth. Clean the threads very well and make sure to locktite the nut when re-installing. I would back off the nut aprox 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

i will just have to experment the nut is off
i will just tighten it to the point it just stops slipping
and cranks the motor or maybe slips sometimes :(

I contacted SuperTrapp directly about this system. They say they do not make a system for the MZ 125 specifically, but suggested that someone (Powroll) was using one of the universals.

Based off the pics, I would say this looks like the IDS2 Racing Series (which is the only IDS2 I see), but I don't see the top bracket.

They list it as:
3" ID UNIV:1.50"INLET 16"LG w/RACE CORE - Model No. 312-15016 - $189.

Is it possible that Powroll is getting these, modifying them, and added a custom "S" header pipe to make it work?

I think I just answered my own questions:

Hi guys,

have owned the powroll mod'd supertrapp IDS2 quiet core. It was fine for the power etc but sounded like crap. Some might not care, but it was too cracky for me. I like a deeper thump. I now have a Tagekawa basic muffler. It was still a little loud so baffled it down a tad and it runs and sounds perfect.

thats my 2 cents.

That has been my experience with other SuperTrapp systems (too harsh ans raspy). Would like more info on the Tagekawa if possible. Where did you get it? How much? Made specifically for the 125SM? Etc etc.... Thanks!

Still got the IDS2 by chance? :wink:

if you like loud pipes go for supertrapp...i got the the tunable aluminium one...but i don't put all of the disc of course....

anyway...is m4 a good muffler???

I don't mind a loud pipe, but I would really want it to sound good. Smooth and deep, not harsh and cracking.

anyway...is m4 a good muffler???


I had an M4 on my TL1000S and think it was probably the best sounding exhaust I had ever owned. Of course, a 1000cc V-Twin will produce a slightly different tone than a 125cc Thumper. :wink:

hello yes the rt125 is back and running
still waiting for mzna to supply parts i ordered

a fellow in the uk supplyed what i needed :smt023
so i am running
and will put the other parts in the spairs box when they come
so next time
i will only be down a day or so
now back to work on the saxon tour
the parts are in hand just stopped to
fix the rt125

ar dave :D
ps $215usd for saxon tour and $125 usd for rt125 so far and ? for backup freewheel ... labor by me or i would be broke

Tom...i've read some where(can't remember where) that there's this 125sm owner that's using an M4 mini muffler...but don't know about the sound,though nor performance wise....

I'm REAL close to buying the SuperTrapp IDS2 system from powroll.com as (so far) that seems to be the best choice. I'm dragging my feet hoping to see some other options pop up, but I'm not having much luck as far as alternative choices.
