Long time skorpion owner here. I think it was originally a '98 Sport, but I bought it as trackbike with a relatively fresh slipstream motor.
Std carbs, dynojetted, pod filters, standard valves, fresh springs, hi comp piston, standard rod. 52 horses on the dyno when I got it, but I think a few of them will have since bolted (that was about 2006)
Its been looked after, but it is my commuter round london.
For about a year it was green and had a home made (not by me) race tail. Then I put a ZZR dual seat on, and it became matt black (with a Yam SRX front guard). Clip ons and a Yam SRX headlight. Wheels and fork sliders were also powder coated coated black, as you'll know they dont stand up very well...!
A service during last summer became more of a cosmetic rebuild using a race plastic seat I had (aftermarket, but at least for a skorp this time). Still a single round headlight, low clip ons, and the high homemade rearsets its always had. But now its got decent paint on the tank seat and guard, and some spangly new vinyls cut.
Anyway, I've been meaning to join for a while. The last thing stopping me getting the "new" bike back on the road is the now leaking fuel tap. So I need some advice re rebuild kits. Am looking for cross reference, or supplier of rebuild kits? If anyone can help, drop me a line, answer here, or my other post? Thanks a lot!
