Mz 125 sm big bore

Postby Mzedian » Sun Jun 25, 2017 10:20 pm

Hi just have a question I've got a big bore 180cc kit for my mz got all the bits for the carb aswell so is tuned to run the big bore, just curious to know if I will need to tighten it more than the torque settings to the book indicate as it's a bigger gasket etc or if it should be done to ft
Thanks

these kits were rare when they came out
so info about them is in short supply and the originals were only 150cc or less
lot of people had a lot of problems with them
and i have had very little info pass by me on them....

hope you have spares to put it back if it goes bad

I've got another bike in bits and two spare engines, including brand new piston and barrel for the 125 just thought I'd give the big bore a go see if there's improvement if it fails just resort to the original

Torque specks should remain the same, unless drilled for larger bolts.

Is there a way to identify on the outside of the cylinder if one has a big bore kit installed?

only if the guy that installed it marked the motor as modified

if its running good do not mess it up
