HI all. Some may remember the TS125 converted to 150 that I had been working on. Finally did get the electrics sorted, but I have never managed to get the gears to work properly. First gear would not engage, even though I adjusted the rod all the way in and out. I have now stripped the engine again.
It is often mentioned that the Haynes manual has incorrect info, but both pdf's of the original manual I have found online (German and English) give the same 13mm reading between the layshaft gears that the Haynes also says.
The Haynes does say the initial setting for the adjuster rod end detent is 16mm above the crankcase face. Is this correct ? If I had hair I would be tearing it out !
One more thing, upon stripping the cases, it seems I missed the little rubber ring behind the crank between the crankcase halves (it's an MM125/3 engine). Can I use an ordinary O ring ?
Cheers, Tony.
