I almost missed it myself and caught it as I was walking out and preparing to leave. They had a little tent setup over into the corner of the Manufacturer/Demo area. They were actually giving demo rides too, but the rain had delayed much of that.

How does MZNA expect dealers to make $ with only thirty 1000's available?

That's 30 of the 1000ST models. That's not how many 1000 models total. I don't know how many S and SF models they expect to import.

Not worrid about the 1000 models to much Unles they bring out a SM version, or the 250's, but what s this about a 450??? In a SM the engine couldbe really great, provided the chassis is light. I own a Baghira SM and the main problem I have with it is the weight.

With 3 models we have seen and another (adventure tourer????) on the way 30 ST's sounds very conservative and cautious to me. I wonder if they've even sold 30 1000S's in the US.....
I'd hate to be the one calculating how many to order....I guess I would be on the conservative side also. Seems a logical way to approach it, being a new brand and just getting their feet wet.

man it must have been tucked in the small corner because
i was all over that area friday and would have been in the line

They did'nt roll in till around 4 or 5 pm on friday. My buddy and I were walking around when we saw a black 1000S roll by and saw it along with some thumpers and the truck pull into the demo area. They set-up to the left as you entered the gate. Everytime we walked by that area on saturday I noticed they were gone....out doing demo's, so I assume there was alot of interested people. Certainly were the most interesting bikes to me!! 8)

What gives?

As an owner of an MZ, I use this forum to help point me in the right direction when I need to alter something, and to find out if there is anything new on the market for my bike which could be useful.

You could join a back patting forum where everyone just goes on about how their bikes are so much better than anything else on the planet - but what would be the fun in that ??:)

I will only run out of ways of modify the Baggy when it weighs less that 100 kg and runs 100 bhp at the back wheel!!

not dead

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Mon Aug 08, 2005 10:01 am

this site is not dead

i belong to a site for grid computers made in the 1980's
they are 286 386 machines
and we do support for people that still use them i have 3
and use one of them on my school bus to do word processing when
i have a layover between runs
the site has 1 to 3 posts a week and some times there just some of the
guy's that are ham radio op's setting up a schedule
we use the site to keep the traffic up so yahoo groups does not pull the plug on the site
i refer to it as a very slow site but if you need help there is usually
a answer very soon :D
