Hi Guys!!!

Moreno77 welcome to the club dude!! Sorry coz did not notice ur bike. Most of the time i'll be sleeping during daytime n working at nite till early morning, so don't really mingle people around. Wah so u also staying at Baiduri? Maybe we could hang out some time when u move back to UK Perdana. :-D

As for Donkrai FYI MXsteven already fix LED light at my bike. The Light cost me RM 70 and i still think its a good deal considering the trouble i had to go through changing the bulb almost every week. Its really bright n since i travel almost everyday on long distance nite time its fit the purpose well for safety at nite.

Hei Steve the other day u never mention bout the Skid plate..
Can u do somethin like d one in MUZ faber?? or the one that available in manual?

light bulbs

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Thu Sep 01, 2005 11:04 pm

if you want good cheap light bulbs
if its a standard type tail light
get a used one from a car or truck some one is sending to the junkyard
like a nissan truck from the 1970,s not only did they make good one's
back then if it's worked this long it will probely last a while longer

i used to blow bulbs in my school bus all the time till we replaced them
with a used set from a 1967 ford truck my son junked

its been 3 years there still working ok :smt018

the LED tail light, mine i modified my own which i bought the led set from Kspeed cost me about RM50 and i replaced all the LED to 3X bright type LED which cost me about RM10 and a small circuit which able to let ur led dim at normal and maximum brightness when brake...

Apexi RSM now i think the price went up which is RM720 without G-force sensors (HP sensor which shoows u how much HP ur vehice hace and conering, braking, acceleration G force.) G-force sensor is about RM180 but u dun need that.

another type is using ultra speed meter or spec-R meter it will cost u less which is about RM300+- but Apexi RSM looks better.

What i have did is just a LEd tail light which uses less current which is less than 500ma, secondly i have replace my meter panel with Apexi RSM which it has Speed (kmh) RPM, Trip mileage, volt meter and G-force sensor. Last mod is i convert my sx to sm which i bought a spare rims from a friend of mine.

ok here's the poison pix hehehe

HI Steven ,
I need some info on the price, location of where did u buy the LED tail light and the RPM apexi.
That damn tail light bulb cost me RM 12 , and it doesnt even last long, i need to change to LED version. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips David, but i prefer to have the LEDs, it looks nice :) .

Here's a another thing, my rear brake pumpthe one (at foot peg) is now faulty, the oil seal inside had been worn out, i guess, the svc ctr told me that it had to be changed with whole new set( incl housing, cylinder etc) ,they dont sell them separately, and it will cost me RM240.00 (USD 64.00)

IS there any subsitute for the oil seal ? from another bike or something,
please advice.

Thanks.

I had the same problem. Within 3 days off leaving the bike shop, my rear brake cyclinder had leak. Lucky me it is still under warranty. had it replaced f.o.c. :-D :-D :-D

I had asked the bike shop where I purchased the bike regarding the oil seal substitute, but they are not sure whether there are any available.

maybe u should go to sentul and get some info over there..... coz they know more well or u may call melvin at MZ glenmarie.... as i know the best clucth cable would suit to our MZ is yamaha SS110 which is cheap less than RM15 and it is so comfort which has 2 place to adjust the tension.

brakes

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Thu Sep 08, 2005 9:43 am

no other replacement i know of for mastercylinder and no kit for the inside

the problem here is the brake lamp switch goes bad i have replaced mine 3 times
how many miles or km do you have on the bike it is on

and make sure you are using dot 4 fluid when you replace with new unit
and flush the whole system so its all new clean fluid
on my rt125 i take the stuff completely off the bike as a complete unit
and force new fluid from the brake shoe end keeping it so the air bubbles can flow up with the new fluid this thing is a pain to get the air bubbles
out of the system :D
