Hi Puffs...That is good advice for normal riding. I guess the problem arises when you change machines over short periods, as the Ariel ideally needs 2 HANDS crushing the lever to stop it rather than one light finger pressure...

It's the automatic, emergency reaction stops that can catch you out. Ouch!

PS: As Blurredman suggests, cheapo pads or any with less grip would be a good idea. It might be nice to hear from owners who have fitted less grippy pads and know the make of them. Would cutting radial slots in the friction material help I wonder by reducing the contact patch with the disc? They would obviously wear faster though.
