It's actually a road bike.
The exact number of them made is up for argument.
About 250 to 300.
The first 150 off the line came with a nose cone with a headlight for the road and also a nose for the track(which you've obviously spotted)
Also came with a road bellypan,track bellypan, standard exhaust,race exhaust +hanger, standard gear shifter, reserve gear shifter for track,a rear tail light delete and a front sprocket for track.

Some bit of kit alright and parts are like hens teeth so make a fortune when they appear and are gone in minutes when they do.

The 45 on it is because it was 45 off the production line so the vin ends in 000045

Here, and I thought all over the EU, you're not supposed to ride without headlight, and on modern bikes you can't even switch it off. Anyway, I feel safer with the headlight on, for cars pulling up in front of me, etc. Though for one reason or another that never happened with the Ducati.

Exhaust-wise, you saw I've chosen an Arrow. They claim a 3HP & ... Nm gain, and indeed the power curve feels a bit better, as does the sound. Which is your preference?

Nah, you can take all the lamps off a motorcycle and it will pass an MOT.

Ah yes, daytime MOT. But you're no longer in the EU & you can't ride a bike like that to the continent.

Actually, there's no such thing as a 'daytime' MOT. That's just a colloqual name.

It's a full MOT, it simply states in the notes however that "No lights at time of test".


I doubt we would have been able to ride a bike with no lights to the continent whether we're in the EU or not, just the same as an L plater on a 125 couldn't..

I think here in Ireland (and I am in no way certain of this)a bike has to have front and rear lights to be fit for road use.
I've never had the police say anything about it though.

Re: Exhaust, the arrow shotguns are probably my favourite.
Just because they are a bit different from the norm.

The single carbon arrow is probably the best looking on it.
The Mivv sounds the best (I like em loud)
The Akrapovic sounds good but I wish it was a little louder.
The aprilia race exhaust sounds good but it's ugly (the outlet is too small)

Have u had anything done to the bike after fitting the Arrow Puffs?
Probably need a good tune on a power commander or likewise to get to the best out of it.

There's plenty ways to get more out of the aprilias besides a power commander.
There's a collector box mod that gives I think 10bhp.
Also various chips for the ECU and a open air box mod.

I have twin carbon Arrows on my gen2 Tuono aswell.
Lovely sound off these.
