Somehow or another I wound up with a Mastiff today. Has 1600 miles on it, personal bike of dealer. He'd set it up to run gravel roads in Big Bend and northern Mexico. Guess there will be lots of research and questions in the next few days.

Motorcycling used to be my second favorite thing, but now that I've become an old man, it's moved up a notch.

Think you're right. You cannot see from this photo, but the front tire is massive - he changed both wheels and front sprocket. Unable to attach new photo, so will try again later.

I like the colour scheme! Very distinguished looking (which hopefully translates to the police leaving you alone, to go after the brightly-painted repli-racers).
Relax. You'll live longer.

In the UK the Mastiff comes with wire wheels, like the Baghira. Tyres look like Avon Distanza's. The sizes used on the Mastiff and Baghira are designed for SM use with a different, stickier compound than the sizes used by off road bikes.
I use one of these on the rear of my Baggi and there really good.
