It sure looks like a nice bike - congrats!
That exhaust might be improved upon, but I do not know what is available for this bike.

I had a slight set back over the weekend. The cover on the oil pump had some JB Weld on it and after the oil change I noticed oil seeping out at the drain plug. When I tried to snug it up tighter, it broke off. I think that’s why the bike was sold to the guy I bought it from. He said he had no idea of its condition when I bought it. I think I found a new cover from ATKUSA. I’m still waiting on confirmation he has one. If not, I will try a machine / welding shop to weld r up.

Oh bugger!!
I have a feeling that may be magnesium so you may have a problem getting it welded.
If it were mine i think i would re-glue it back on with a suitable epoxy and reinforce/buildup the area with JB weld putty, but then that`s me!
Good luck with it.

That might be the case with a taper thread but not a parallel one, and you can see the damage mark leading up to the fracture. This is effectively a sump plate on the bottom of the engine and i suspect the damage was done by a rock.
A solid threaded insert would be a good repair but personally i would bond it in place at the same time as the broken off piece.
I bet a new one is bloody expensive!

Update on my oil pump cover. My best friend owns Wood Brothers Racing. The number 21 NASCAR , oldest race team. Anyway he took my broke cover to his uncle Leonard Wood. He welded it up in no time and cleaned up the threads. Here is a pic of Leonard in action.

Good on you! If you can weld it, that's always best.

Finished product. Leonard said it was cheap aluminum and bubbled a lot but somehow he tested it with brake fluid. It seems brake fluid will find its way through a tiny crack sooner than any liquid.

Great job!
Don't over tighten the plug; consider some (silicone) sealant if it still leaks at the plug.

And by the way , a new one from ATK USA is $95 and a new one from the UK is $195. Also I plan on removing the entire cover every oil change.

HUGE price difference! Where are they made? Perhaps there is more than one manufacurer.
