So pleased with how well this worked, although i lifted the car wheel off the ground before the bond between tyre and rim gave way!

Personally, if it's a tubed tyre the tyres I use don't normally need a lot of pressure.. just my knees..

But on tubeless tyres or very old tyres of either build, then I normally jump on them with a spade.


I also change my car tyres.

Hi.
A FOURTEEN (!!) year old tubeless tyre as stiff as hell!
I tried using the Beta prop stand to break it and just succeeded in lifting both wheels of the Beta off the ground so i knew it was a tough one!
The spade is an interesting one.
Once the bead was broken it popped off dead easy.

the harder they are to get off to change them
the faster they will come off at speed with a sudden loss of air

note no surprise like loss of air on both tires at about 40 mph and they both come off the rims
alloy rims are slick
