Riding 2Ts abroad

Postby JawasandMZs » Tue Jan 26, 2021 7:51 am

Has anyone ever experienced not heing allowed to ride their MZ anywhere due to ever-increasing emissions laws?
I'm learning German and Czech right now in preparation of my planned euro tour on my Jawa in 2022, this year being another write-off.

Mostly all emissions laws appear only on new cars or bikes. Not for already produced vehicles.

Surely there are limitations accessing certain areas in towns due to high pollution data.

But driving through the country areas is not forbidden in any countries I know.

Following a biased and flawed moderator choice (someone posting aggressive personal attacks is rewarded, while my technical posts are removed - behind my back & without any justification!), I have withdrawn from this forum.

You CAN ride a 2t 350 Jawa through London with out penalty. Check yourself on the ULEZ website. My reg no is
AE15CPV.
The non purchase of Jawas in the EU isn't a prob because we're not a member and you CAN buy them in the UK.
How our market on its own can justify continued production is a bit odd but there you go!
I didn't ever think I'd say this but .. hurray for Brexit!

Gehr nach "F2 motorcycles/motorader" und sehen fur ihr selb. Sie kosten £3895 neue in der Verenigt Konigreich oder £400 mehr fur die version deluxe. Ich habe gebegint zu Deutcsh lernen.

I don´t think the Jawa 2-strokes are still produced , so there will be no new bike to be bought in UK.

And about Brexit:
Most of my customers in UK now feel the negative results of Brexit when they order MZ parts...

So there is always light and shadow.

But if the chance to buy a new Jawa justifies the brexit, then may it be :-)

I have been hearing people complain about postage from the continent.

Guesi- just as a hypothetical enquiry, how much now would the postage for a 2lb item be now compared to last year?

It is not only the shipping costs, I have to fill out customs form, so more work for me.

And as I am in germany, I count in gramms and kilogramms....

So I don´t know what lb are :-)

In this case, GB was always something special with their speical measures and threads :-)

So lets see what happens after the brexit...
Maybe the GREAT Britain will rise again with all their specialities and colonies :-)

Or maybe it was the wrong way....

If Turkey had been a member of the EU perhaps we could still buy an ETZ.

Since 1995 turkish emission laws did not allow 2 stroke bikes to be registered.....

So they have far more modern emission laws than UK ?
