If you want a house visit from Ms. Peel, it'll be difficult, as she stopped providing her services last year.
On MZ questions you'll get an opinion - just ask. But realise that you'll still have to do the technical work yourself, but of course that's part of the fun!

Well very pleased with the mornings efforts.

Managed to get the bike started and running on tick over. Tightens the screw on the top of the choke I stopped it closing on its own for starters. Then a few adjustments with the air mixture screw and she was running much better. Managed to take her for a brief ride round the block a few times. Needs a little more fine adjustment but very pleased with the results today.

Well looks like I am back to square one. Got the bike running two weeks ago. Came back to last Saturday, and won’t start. Came back to it today and still won’t start. Spent 2hrs trying.

I have taken the battery off to charge it. I didn’t get a spark when I tried earlier.

Not been over mechanically minded. How hard is it to convert it to 12v

Never done one of these conversions, cant be too hard can it?

Try googling vape conversion, as vape seems to be the most popular conversion, you can probably find the instructions to fit online.

Thank you to all the advice given since yesterday.

I have been outside working on the bike all day with no results.
This is what I have done today to try abd fix such an unknown issue.
1 fully charged the battery
2 purchased the correct spark plug (B8HS) and set the correct gap (0.06)
3 cleaned all the contentions from the ignition switch on the headlamp to the coil and to the battery.
4 checked for a spark, got a good spark
5 checked that fuel is going into the carb

Still will not start. Tried bump starting it in position 5 on the ignition. Nothing.

Don’t have many options left apart from take an hammer to it to release my frustrations, sell it as is and cut my loses or pay someone to look at it in the hope it can be resolved.
At the moment the hammer option is looking good

Andy - sounds very similar to the problems I had with my TS, I was also on the verge os taking a hammer to it or selling on E-Bay for a very low price.

You said that you had it running so soomething has hapenned since then.

My issues was with the carb - I ended up replacing it with a known good one and it has been Ok since.

If fuel is getting to the carb, is it getting through to the cylinder, is the plug wet ?

If the plug is wet first thing to do it take it out, turn the ending to BDC and leave overnight to dry out.

If the plug is wet, check that the choke plunger is seating correctly, remember it has to be closed (cable slack) to be off, if the plunger is not seating properly or cable is tight the choke will be permanatly on which will flood the engine very quickly.

If the plug is dry, clearly fuel not getting through so carb off, dismanlte / clean - is the float valve stuck shut?

Hope this might help, like I did, stick at it - afteral it's only a machine so can be fixed, but sometimes it can be very frustrating.
