Hello,
im just wondering because I cant find the proper info, what size and length of cables should i get (the ones that connect the battery to the motorcycle). The model of the bike is TS 150 (the 6 volt one).

I don't know the answer to your question but I'd use lines with at least D=1.5mm conductor core of suitable length.

At least double. 3mm 14 - 16, 0,2mm single strands. With good quality connections. Both female spade and circle mounts to connect the battery to the dynamo control box. Most of the dynamos wire connections are 3mm.

Many Supa5 owners, myself included, thought the 1.5mm battery wires were inadequate for the maximum load, and replaced them with larger diameter wire all the way to the ignition switch and the main underseat earth post. Some people also upgraded the wire from the headlamp earth to the main earth but I thought this unnecessary.
The TS125 has exactly the same electrics as the Supa5 so I would recommend fitting thicker battery wires at least. It will do no harm even if it does no good.

I am not claiming this wiring upgrade is my own original idea. I probably read about it in the MZ club magazine during the 1980s. At that time complaints about invisible indicators were probably second only to debates about the useless front brake. I remember checking for voltage drop between the battery and ignition switch and finding a significant amount with the original wiring under full load. It was this which motivated me to upgrade the relevant wires rather than heat or damage. The loss was eliminated with the heavier gauge wires, which I have used ever since with 6V MZs.
I've never had your problem with the wires cracking, so not convinced this is an issue with the MZ - perhaps you were just unlucky on one occasion.
As it happens, I rarely ride with daytime headlights, so my indicators might not be limited by the standard wires anyway, and if people are happy with their 6V electrics there is no reason to change. But if not, it is a cheap and easy mod which might make the difference, or if like the OP you are starting from scratch.
