TS250/1 Mikuni VM30 or VM32

Postby Rob NL » Fri Nov 22, 2024 6:26 am

I am interested in fitting a different carb than my BVF reproduction. I see some good comments on the Mikuni carbs. So I strongly leaning towards that one.

But then the next question, I would say the 30mm type is the most comparible to the original one. But the 32mm also suits.

What are the advantages from the 32 over the 30? Or what is the benefit of the 30 type over the 32?

I have a 250/1 with 12v ignition. I also have a sport exhaust fitted and thinking of changing the paper air filter as well.

Hi.

If the original is 30mm there is no benefit in fitting larger unless you open up the rest of the inlet tract to match if you want more top end.
