front and rear sprockets all mz 125cc

chainwheel sprocket chain
this company THORUSA lists esjot sprockets they have a listing
for the mz 125 bikes both front and rear
http://www.thorusa.com/esjot.htm
http://www.esjot.com
for the pdf catalog
these sprockets fit some yamaha bikes but not any sold in the usa
so there is no yamaha part number that i have found
that works in the usa front or rear
check if these guys can order for you

dont you just love bastard parts i spent 5 days trying to find sprockets for the 125's as aftermarket parts

bastard parts = part that fits only your bike because factory designed
it so you could only buy it from them
there are lots of 16 tooth sprocket out there why did ours have to have
a odd center hole and 16 teeth

i will keep looking for other sprocket options including upgrade to
520 chain if a 520 chain will clear on the front

with so little power to spare, don't you think a 520 chain would be too much? why no the size that an 80cc dirt bike uses?

chain

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Sun Apr 09, 2006 5:18 pm

the reason for 520 chain
is that the bike i have is now ready for its 3rd set at 12,000 miles

i am getting about 6500 miles from the stock sprockets
with a rk 428 o ring chain
and yes i do oil it and adjust it
a friend has a f650 and over 40,000 miles on chain and sprockets

that seems odd. something's wrong. is it less than 14 teeth on the front sprocket?

no it is a 16 and the only bike with a 16 and the center hole
like this sold in the usa

esjot is the only listing i have found that says we make one that fits
and the rear size is also limited
to 49 and 52 and almost as hard to find
:smt075
i like the bike except the dirty little tricks like bastard size sprockets
no one sells but MZ

ESJOT the only ones, other than stock... I wonder who makes the OEM ones - it might be ESJOT; they are based in Germany. Have you tried the Renthal site?

I think maybe you should try a different chain next time.
