Yo!

Postby -8- » Thu Jun 17, 2004 10:10 am

I just wanted to post a formal hello to all the members here. I’ve searched the web for MZ stuff for over a year and I can’t believe I didn’t find this site sooner. Doh!! It’s great to have a forum of like-minded MZ maniacs to chat with. I ‘stole’ my 2003 Street Moto off eBay for $4500 in Oct ’03. The dealer lost $ on the deal so needless to say they don’t help me at all now. (Not an MZ dealer anyway) Therefore I am grateful for the advice I get from you all.

I live in south Jersey and have a habit of riding off-road in the Pine Barrens most of the time. The rest of the time I am blasting down the Garden State Pkwy, usually at the posted 65mph limit  …of course no problem for the Big Bad Bag… affectionately stated.

Previous bikes in order of appearance - (disappearance):
1983 Honda XL185 – (looped by a ‘friend’)
1984 Honda XL500 – (ripped in half..head-on with a Ford Torino…)
1987 Kawasaki KLR600 – (too many mechanical headaches)
1988 VTR250 Interceptor – for my newly wed wife
1989 Honda VFR700 Interceptor – nice bird…V4 sounded like a worked small block Chevy
1986 Honda VT700 Shadow – (sacrificed for Baghira)
1984 Honda XL350 – (sacrificed for Baghira)

Of all these, the Baghira has been the outstanding performer. Granted the VFR was insanely fast… it was a little tricky off-road. This Street Moto blends performance, style and dependability into one machine like no other bike I’ve owned. Now I just need to learn how to ride the damn thing like it’s intended! L8r -8-

That area in those pics looks like a pretty good place to ride the bag. Welcome

BTW- I am planning a ride from Atlantic City,NJ to Shenandoah, Virginia on June 24-27 if anyone wants to join me. Did it once last fall and can't wait to do it again... This time I may trailer the bike down (room for 2 or 3) and save some wear & tear. Let me know!
