LOST your SCrew? got SCreW up? well there is a shop called "nut N bolts" @ Jalan Gasing beside seven11. Go find there, if you cant find your screw there then no others place in the earth can find!

hi there malaysian mz riders....
its been so long since I last drop-in in this forum. Been busy with (input whatever reason here..) Well I receive an sms sometime last month or in july about a meeting of MZ rider... but could not make it... thanks for the invitation anyway.
Need to get my bike serviced again. it just would not stay idle. at the traffic light, the engine will die. Everytime I bring it to the service centre, the same thing, "water gets into the carb"... maybe its high time for me to learn to do it myself.

:-D haha ... not lost the screw but stolen...i think the thief wanna take out my signal but he cant.. then maybe he just took off the screw instead n the stickers.. !! well.. mareno77 .. how does water get into the carb.. hmn.. prob eh.. my bike also got some prob.. it's hard to ignite the bike for the first time after the engine got cold ..let say after a few hours i ride.. then i wanna ride again.. it kinda hard to ignite (unless i ignite n then press the hand-petrol-lever ...

the water easily gets into carb from the choke cable! so just cut your choke cable and mod it!

Yep, that's the culprit. we tried somethin at glenmarie but it seems that it does not work... will come up with a new idea....

dirtgrinder66, my bike also face the same thing hard to start when cold...especially in the morning.. now not worse but different. easy to start but the bike kept at high rev for a while on its own and then slows down and then the engine die. huhuhuhuhuhuh...

Whatever it is ... I still love the bike... +12K km already in a year... no major failure yet after the starter freewheel(?) broke early this year.

HARD STARTING

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Thu Sep 07, 2006 9:39 pm

I have a problem with my rt125 same motor
it gets very upset if i open the throttle hand feed any at all when starting...
make sure throttle cable freeplay does not have the slide in the carb lifted any.. then adjust the fuel air to 1 1/2 to 2 turns out
and them the idle to about 1800 rpm / udm
i also use a gell cell for a battery ... the bigest one i can stuff in the
battery box also on cold days i use a jump start battery to run the
starter and the bike battery only runs the cdi box

mine started last winter at -20C yes we ride them when its that cold but
only about 10 km and full winter faring and leg sheilds :-D
ar dave

ps i tried a different air filter but it just seemed to have less power than stock filter
